I was hired as Assistant Director for this very personal project for director David Cuiro. The story was based on his own life during the loss of his sister, Monika, to cancer.
The crew on this shoot were all very respectful of the content and were great to work with.
As it was a small crew, I also worked as the gaffer on set, operated the camera on a number of shots, and assisted the cinematographer. As the cinematographer was still in film school, and it was her first time being hired for the role, she was very open to advice and guidance, which made for a great environment on set.
