Because of the War is the first feature film I was hired to shoot as Director of Photography. Being a small crew, my role has often expanded to assist where needed on set, and I have even had the opportunity to act as Assistant Director on many of the scenes.

Because of the War follows the story of Claire and Peter who make a commitment to each other to be married before Peter is sent of to war. The film is set in Brisbane, Australia during the late 1940’s to 1950’s and examines the hardships of couples who went through the trauma of WWII.
